Amazing shrimp salad sandwiches! Huge quality shrimp in a light seasoned mayonnaise. As another yelper already said, their bread is excellent. I want to try the italian sub, but I'm so stuck on the shrimp salad that I have not ventured to the italian yet. I live in Los Angeles so I don't get back East that often, but when I do, C&B is a must on my list of places to go. I have to get one to take with me for my wait at the airport on my way out of town.

Umm yeah...this location is NOT the best...basically its behind Dunkin Doughnuts...near a sex shop, and a bra store. So...after you sort through all that..you have yourself a great...GREAT deli...not delly. I am not big on the name of this place, but they sure can make a good Italian sub. I would hold this sub as good as any you can get downtown Baltimore in Little Italy..and it also holds its own to Arlington, VA's Italian Store. Even half of the sub would probably fill you up. We usually get 2 subs and eat one the next day. I also pick up pastas and olives here. Also..if you live in Howard County, they circulate coupons for this place all the time in the mail. Look for them in those little mailers.

5 stars for the Italian Sub. Wow Not bad for a random stop for a sandwich I'll be back!

I've only trie their Italian sub but there is a reason. I've been there three times for, what is in my humble opinion, the best Italian sub I've eaten. You won't go wrong with this one. Delicious.

Change in ownership. Several months ago the previous owners, who were the reason behind these wonderful sub reviews, went on to bigger and better things. Since then the quality of the dining experience here has suffered. I have been coming here for years, and although they still make a half-decent sandwich, the top reviews must be taken with a grain of salt.

As basic as a deli sandwich may sound; it is hard to find one that's full of flavor with fresh, crisp toppings and a friendly, clean environment. No worries! C&B Deli is here to save the day and help out with this dilemma. C&B deli is a small Italian deli located in Ellicott City, MD with great tasting traditional style deli meats. They have a very friendly staff that makes you feel welcome and are very helpful at recommending things if your having trouble deciding. They are not your typical chain deli, so all of their products are freshly made or imported insuring that your getting that authentic taste. They sell fresh Meats, cheeses, soups, salads, desserts and also do catering if you are interested. I would strongly recommend going here for lunch or picking up dinner on your way home. C&B has some of the freshest deli meats, cheeses and toppings I've ever tasted at a Deli. With them being an Italian Deli they offer lot's of traditional Italian deli meats such as prosciutto and capicola along with lots of other selections. C&B also has a small import section where you can purchase all kinds of Italian products such as sauces, pastas, and bread ; they also have fresh soups, salads, and dessert's for sale that also look very fresh and delicious. I ordered the Italian hoagie, which is their most popular sandwich on the menu. This sandwich was a perfect size and full of flavor! The bread had a nice crunch to the outside but was very soft and fluffy on the inside which made for a great foundation. The meat was very fresh, tasty, and they were not stingy at all! What brought the whole sandwich together was the toppings; as generic as it may sound, " you could taste the freshness". I got the traditional toppings which was lettuce, tomato, hot peppers, onion and their oil & vinegar mixture drizzled on top. All of these simple ingredients came together for an amazing, authentic tasting Italian hoagie that you wouldn't be able to find at your typical chain or carry out. In my opinion no matter what your serving, making sure its fresh and from scratch is the key to putting out a delicious product! For a side I got their "Hot Shots", which are small peppers stuffed with fresh mozzarella wrapped in prosciutto and drizzled with Olive Oil. Yes, please believe this small bite is as good as it sounds. All of the flavors marry beautifully when you bite into it and not only are these delicious but they also make for a great snack. If you like peppers this is definitely a must try! I would recommend trying different things upon each visit, I haven't had anything that didn't taste good from here yet! If you are ever in the area and looking for a good deli sandwich stop by and check them out, you will never want a bland tasting chain deli sandwich again.

Italian Sub was AWESOME!!! I have been searching for a good Italian Sub around here and Potbelly, Jimmy Johns and definitely NOT Subway were even coming close to the real deal!!! I just happened to find this place while getting service on my vehicle at the dealership up the street. It's kind of lost back in the cut of a small strip mall along with a Dunkin Donuts, Pet Vet, Dry Cleaners and some other businesses. They have a printed menu to take with you and an old school menu board with the stick-up letters from the 70s, but dont let all that bother the hunger in your belly. Get that Italian Sub which comes with Let/Tom/Hots/Oil/Seasoning....add Mayo and Pickles to kick up the taste and you will be happily pleased!!!

Candy and Bruce and their daughters are just the nicest people on the planet. This is far and away, the best deli in the area with EASILY the best Italian sub in the state/country/world/universe. Seriously. When I die, I hope it's moments after I finish a C&B Italian. The turkey sub is absurdly good as well. They get their pasta from Vellegia's in Little Italy, and it's the right call. Do yourself a favor, and eat here as often as is humanly possible. About 10 years ago, I used to eat here daily, when I lived closer and I still miss being able to go more frequently. When my friend comes from out of town, we ALWAYS make sure to stop by C&B. He's hooked, I'm hooked, you'll be hooked as soon as you try it.

Holy crap!! This is exactly the kind of sub I have been searching for since we moved to the area. I of course had the Italian Hoagie which was amazing! Every single aspect of it was perfect; the meat, the bread, the oil and vinegar. Yum!! The boring sub I got for my 2 year old was even delicious and he ate almost the whole thing!! Believe me, that is an accomplishment!! Both ladies behind the counter were super nice and helpful for our first C&B experience. We will definitely be back very soon and I can't wait to try one of their beautiful desserts!

Amazing Italian coldcuts, American coldcuts, and shrimp salad subs. Reasonably priced, and they use fresh bread EVERYDAY (the manager explained to me they get bread delivered everyday and they order a type of bread that's only to be used the same day, and you can really tell!)

The Itallian Sub is well worth the trip. Just get it with everything and experience sandwich bliss. The sub is definitely the sum of its parts, great bread, oil & vinegar, hots, onions, and the perfect combination of meats. Of course lettuce, tomato and I always get mine with provolone cheese. Last time my wife got a roasted turkey sub, she said it was fantastic too. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because I have had Di Pasquale's Itallian Sub. In Baltimore, I believe that is the one to beat. yelp.com/biz/di-pasquale…

Great deli, all meats and cheeses sliced when the sub or sandwich is made. Can't get fresher than that. Owner and daughters run the deli. Prices are reasonable for what you get. Makes subway food look over processed and sub par. You cant go wrong here.

This place has the best subs and they are very friendly. It's located behind the Dunkin' Donuts so make sure you don't miss it.

I don't mean to be a sandwich snob. I just came of age in Philadelphia. I lived four years on pizza and hoagies, so I came to expect that regular sandwich shops could assemble bread, meat and condiments into something delicious. But 20 years of bad rolls and tasteless sandwiches have left me happy to order almost anything else. C&B Italian Delly in Ellicott City won me back over to the sandwich choir. Honestly, I only stopped because I was looking for the Ethiopian restaurant that they're going to open down the row. It was lunchtime. It was only a $6 risk to see if C&B could do anything worthwhile. And they can. I went with just the "Italian hoagie" -- a relatively thin mix of cold cuts, a white cheese, lettuce, tomatoes on a long roll. It's the roll. We all know that sandwiches rise or fall on the roll, and C&B's roll tasted like Philadelphia. Some Quaker loyalists will complain that only Philadelphia-baked rolls can taste like Philadelphia, but C&B's bread had a light crust and a chewy texture that would have made me happy on Walnut Street. With the bread, everything came together. Some good thin-sliced meats. Some hot peppers, a little oil and vinegar. A sharp cheese that I think was provolone. An Italian sandwich can be a really simple thing, but C&B pulled that off. Even with generic lettuce and tomato, that sandwich was easily one of my favorites around. Two years ago, I posted about sandwiches and highlighted Bon Fresco and New York Deli in Columbia. Bon Fresco remains the gold standard with gourmet breads and delicious ingredients, but C&B's Italian leads in my "traditional Italian" category. Well worth the effort to check out. Of course, the real test will be my wife because she grew up in Philadelphia. You know how those people are.

My diet flew out the window the second I walked in. It reminds me of the Italian sub places back home up north. I ordered a turkey with swiss lettuce tomato and mayo. It was delicious. I know it's hard to screw up a turkey sub, but oh so many places do. This was excellent. They even slice the turkey meat fresh for your sandwich.

This is the best sub shop I've been to. I've never had a bad sub here and have been countless times. I usually get the pepper turkey sub and it's always great. I have taken a bunch of family and friends here and they've all loved it. If you just want a normal meal get the half size, if you get the whole it is big enough for two meals so if you want to save some for latter you can. A fair warning though, you may end up eating the whole size sub in one sitting because it is just that good.

This is the best deli in my area. The meats are always fresh and tasty. I highly recommend the Italian sub, very good. They don't mess around here with the deli meat portion, always lots of meat on your subs or sandwiches!

I like everything but the bread. It's an American sub roll. I just expected Italian bread. Maybe I'm too picky because I'm used to Brooklyn delis.
